On his typical route around the yard, the form of a young chow mix trotted smoothly between massive piles of destroyed cars and trucks and such, his tail up and waving. this land would be his one day, just wait and see. Smirking proudly, he almost trotted right passed the dane, looking over just in time to see the large brute laying there. Stopping in his tracks immediately, the mutt raised his hackles and growled, barring is teeth at the interloper.
"Who are you and what do you want?"

The young dog let his teeth go back into hiding but he still held himself in a tese position, his tail and head high and his hackles still raised. He certainly wasn't one to let other walz right into his territory without first being sure he was aware of it, but this wasn't his territory... yet. Oh, but it will be one day and then he shall reign with an iron paw. But for now, he just prided himself with taking out the trash.
"Well, shelter don't come free to solisiters. Either join or get the hell out."
A smart dog would've been a little nicer about the way he spoke to a great dane but this one was not like that. He didn't give a rat's ass about an opponent's size. like he always said, it's not the size of the dog in the fight but the size of the fight in the dog....

"Sorry agian friend I will gladly join"He said smiling. He would not like to fight. He smiled his tail going back and forth. He looked like a worrior but he was not.He licked his chops and smiled to the little dog."I don't suppose I could take to the alpha"He asked smiling.

The young mix snorted at the dane, his tail still motionless and rigid. A good son would take the new arrival to the alpha, a good whelp would lead the stranger calmly through the lands, maybe even give him a tour. But a good son, a nice whelp, Derrigner was not. Barring his teeth, the young mix was about to say something witty a rude but another soul hobbled out from behind some cars.
"Derringer! What are you doing?"
A younger yet larger black and white spotted canine hobbled out from behind the garbage, his lithe body held up by only three legs. Bi-colored gaze landed on the stranger, and the younger mutt greeted him with tail-wagging enthusiasm.
"Oh! Hello there. A potential member I hope."
Derringer simply rolled his eyes painfully.

Derringer shoved his brother roughly, successfully knocking the three-legged dog off balance but not to the ground. It was meant as more of a distraction than anything... A way to get the older dog's attention.
"Relax. I was gonna take him to dad..."
The other pup, who had regained his composure rather quickly without an insult to his brother or anything more than a soft glare, now stood smiling at the Dane.
"I'll take him there. This way stranger..."
The black and white mutt turned, hobbling off a step or two and ignoring his brother's irritated insult.
"Hey! I was gonna do it!"
Finding himself ignored, the tan young gave up, shrugging maliciously and stalking off in another direction, mumbling under his breath.
"Stupid goody four shoes..."

The three-legged brute hobbled forward slowly, weaving back and forth in front of the large dane in an attempt to keep his balance as he continuously looked back at the stranger. Being much more friendly than his brother, there was a calm yet slightly timid smile on his black and white face, his floppy ears waving about as he moved. Leading the stranger between the tall piles of car parts and debris, the younger creature found himself curious and couldn't help but ask the dane a question.
"So, what brings you here rather than any of the other packs? What attracted you to ours?"

Still half bounding along in front of the dane, the young mix turned once again to speak but was cut off studdenly by a fall. Tripping over something quite clumsily, the yearling was sent tumbling to the ground hard, his chin hitting the concrete with an audible thud. But the pup made no sound...
Above him, a white chow looked down with disdain, his heavy white paw laying where the young one had been walking....
"Use your eyes pup. You're not watching your surroundings..."
Stepping out from the shadow of a trash pile, the chow regarded the dane with a quick glance before looking back at his son, who was slowly getting back to his feet without question...
"That could kill if you're not careful. You on-"
The pup continued his father's sentence from there.
"-only have three legs now. I know..."
The chow merely nodded, ignoring the disappointed look on his pup's face and proceeding to turn around to speak with the stranger. His head held high, his tail up and curled, the chow sort of tested the dane's tolerance of domination.
"As for you... Can I help you with something?"

He bowed his head to the Alpha. He looked up his tail down."Well sir I was wondering if you could help me."He said smiling."I was wondering if I could call this place home in your pack."He said."I promise to contribute my life to it and you and your mate and your hairs>"He said smiling.

Giving the brute an approving grin, the chow nodded slowly, glancing over his shoulder at his son for a moment. The younger canine simply shrunk beneath the alpha's gaze as if it physically burned his face...
"So I see my son is of some use after all..."
Looking back to the dane, the chow batted the top of his head lightly with one white fluffy paw.
"Your request is accepted my good brute. Your duty is to keep my family save while I am away and I expect you tpo do a good job. But be aware, only the male pups derringer and Baklava have any control over you and even then is it only slight. the others are to respect you as you me... understood?"
