The chow sat down swiftly, a very kind and understanding look on his face, if a little embarrassed for his little one's behavior.
"I'm terribly sorry about that. He's just... difficult, hard-headed... Hence why I need help."
The brute laughed lightly at the last part...

" I dont mind helping I just am just curious....Why dont you just attack him one time and show where he is at the moment rank wise.." She said quite seriously.

The chow's laughing stopped, his face suddenly changing from one of amusement to... something else. He looked to the ground...
"Attack him?"
He paused, shaking his head slowly from side ot side...
"I could never do that... He's my son... My youngest, the runt... He know where he is rank wise but that doesn't seem to make a difference. He'll behave when I'm around but, when i'm gone, he's just as rude and careless as ever. He knows he's going to inherit this land one day if I choose to give it to him... and that's all he cares about..."

The chow glanced up suddenly, offering the dane a soft grin...
"No, don't be sorry. It's a valid point on your part. I'm just too soft sometimes and alpha males can't be like that, ya know? But I just don't think I can be anything else..."

She smiled and shook her head " No really it is my fault" She said softly with a smile " I am just well I need to be around Derringer a little longer and I will be used to it" She turned and trotted off to Derringer

"It's really no one's fault, my dear. You're words were true..."
The chow simply trailed off at that point, watching the female trot away. It was good to see that she would not give up, a very nice trait in his opinion... And one she'd need to get used to his rebllious son. Sighing inwardly, the brute got to his feet slowly, turning about to continue his patrols...

Baklava ran up to his father, Who's she, who's she?! he asked curiously. He was obviously in a playfull mood. He wanted to help his father. His idle was his father anyway and he often tried to be with him, to learn about everything he did.

The chow was surprised by his son's sudden appearence, but it showed little on his face. Smiling warmly at the smaller black form, Zeus put and paw on his head, ruffling Baklava's scruffy black fur for a moment before ebginning to trot around him...
"She's just a puppy caretaker. That is, she is going to look out for you... and your brothers and sisters, of course."
Pausing, the alpha male gave a glance over his shoulder, almost tauntingly.
"Try not to give her a hard time..."

Baklava fixed his ruffled fur. I wont but can't we take care of ourselves, we are anyway almost one year old. he followed his dad. What about mom, she can take care of us. he stopped, Isn't time you thought us how to really fight?

Watching his son with a watchful gaze, the chow gave him a knowing smile...
"Almost one means not one yet... And if another pack launches an attack for whatever reason, you guys are not going to be able to fend them off on your own. Think of them as your own secrete service or something..."
Turning his head and looking forward once again, Zeus continued his walking once again, his pace slow...
"As for fighting, that isn't anything that can really be taught. It's something you learn through experience, modifying your technique based on your losses. If you must learn something, learn this: always think one step ahead of your opponent. Imagine what they are about to do and stop them before they do it... that's all there is to it, really..."

He took it into thought, then he turned and ran off. He was sortta disapointed, his dad never spent time with him any more. He liked it when they would just sit around and rough house...But not any more now he was pretty lucky if he got attention for 10 minutes.

Puasing in his slow walk, the chow looked back over his shoulder, dark gaze watching his son run off elsewhere. It was Baklava that seemed the most like him, curious and optimistic. Zeus had been like that at one point... where had that gone? Sighing mindlessly to himself, the alpha male went back to his scent patrols once again, sinffing fences and remarking cars and such...

The tall Gret watched curiously and smirked. She personally had liked this one more. He was mmore optimistic. She smirked softly still and sighed gently. Her tail had been agging and she had just noticed this. She gazed at the chow quiety and nodded her head a little.
